Delete your TideLine account
This page is for deleting your TideLine account and the data associated with it. You don't need the TideLine app installed, and you don't need to delete your Google account.
How to ask
- Email support@tidelinenow.com from the email address you use for TideLine. If you sign in with Google, use your Google email address.
- Use the subject TideLine Account Deletion.
- We'll reply to that email address to confirm the request came from you. Reply to confirm.
We will never ask for your password, a sign-in code, your Google password or any other secret.
What happens next
Your reply verifies the request. We complete the deletion within 30 days after you confirm the request.
What we delete
- Your TideLine account and sign-in.
- Your saved events, thumbs up, Not Happening reports and Tidepools (including their share links).
- Your “Posted by” name and your saved category filters.
- Your Beacons and sightings that weren't published, including their photos.
- All your original Beacon photos, our stored copies of them, and any public images made from them.
What may remain
If one of your Beacons was published as a Community Beacon, the event may stay listed as public event information — its name, date, place, and that it came from a Community Beacon. It won't include your name, your photo or any link to your account. We may keep a note, with no personal information, that its photo was removed because of an account deletion.
Copies may remain for a limited time in our service providers' backups or logs until they are overwritten.
